England had the better of the chances in the first half, with Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Mason Mount all coming close. Serbia had a few chances of their own, but they were unable to find the back of the net. The second half was a more even affair, with both sides having chances to score. However, England held on to secure a hard-earned victory.
The win puts England in a strong position in Group C. They will face Scotland in their next match on Friday, before taking on the Czech Republic in their final group game on Tuesday. If England can win their remaining two matches, they will qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament.
